01 Only deal with a company that Requires Prescriptions.

No legitimate pharmacist from any country will dispense prescription medication without a prescription. Period. If an Internet company is offering to sell you prescription medication without a prescription, they are not a pharmacy and who knows what they will send you. Any company willing to sell a prescription drug without a prescription is violating the laws of their own country, which calls into question their ethics and motivations.

02 Only deal with companies located in countries with strong democratic governments.

Third-world countries, like in Eastern Europe or Central America, have very weak regulations governing pharmacies and even weaker law enforcement watching over these pharmacies. Companies operating with the intend to defraud people will locate in these countries where they are less likely to be shut down if their victims complain to the authorities.

On the other hand, countries like Canada, England, France, Israel, India and Australia have strong democratic governments and very mature legal systems, similar to that of the United States. This is important because it means that pharmacies in these countries operate under strict drug-safety regulations similar to that of the FDA in the United States. And equally important, these countries have strong law enforcement agencies that will shut down companies who commit outright fraud or violate these drug-safety laws.

03 Know where the company is really located, not where they say they are

It is important to deal with companies located in countries with strong regulatory environments. It is also important to verify that they are in fact located where they say they are. Just because their website claims to be located in, say, Canada or Australia doesn't guarantee that that is where they are located.

A very useful (and free) website to verify where a company is located is http://www.whois.net/ or for Canadian companies try http://www.cira.ca/en/home.html. If you go to these websites and type in the web address of the company you are investigating, it will tell you the address where the company is located and where they are registered. This is a great way to double check that the company you are considering is legitimate.

04 Make sure the company has a good shipment guarantee policy, and be careful of the fine print.

One of the things our customers are most concerned with is receiving their shipment on time. When you check out a company to consider ordering from them, find out about their shipment guarantee. What will happen if you don't receive your shipment? Avoid any company that does not have a policy. For those that do, read the fine print. How long do you have to wait before they will re-ship the order? Will you have the right to a full refund rather than a new shipment, if you so choose? What happens if the company ships the wrong product? Will they immediately ship a replacement without waiting for you to send back the wrong product? These are all important questions to ask.
